In 2021, Spotify hosted its third annual BLK Workforce Development Conference — an internal event created by its Black/African-American employee resource group. The conference focused on engagement through panel discussions, workshops, and live performances.
For this project, I brought the collage-style visual identity to life across various event moments — designing animated sequences for the opening, intermission, and closing segments of the conference.
I translated the system’s textures, patterns, and photo treatments into motion graphics that could flex across formats, from stage projections to social media content, creating a cohesive and celebratory experience.
The visual identity system was rooted in themes of homecoming, community, and positivity.
